Labarre (1883-1965), papierhistoricus en redacteur van de serie Monumenta Chartae Papyraceae Historiam Illustrantia, bestaat uit een internationaal georiënteerde verzameling boeken, tijdschriften, brochures en documentatie over de geschiedenis van het papier, de papierproductie en watermerken. Daarnaast bevat de collectie een aantal papiermonsters.

The collection brought together by E.J. Labarre (1883-1965), paper historian and series editor of Monumenta Chartae Papyraceae Historiam Illustrantia, is international in scope and comprises books, periodicals, brochures and documentation on the history of paper, paper production and watermarks. The collection also includes a number of paper specimens.

De Paper Publications Society (1950-1995) werd opgericht door E.J. Labarre met als uitgangspunt het publiceren van de reeks Monumenta chartae papyraceae historiam illustrantia, een serie werken over papiergeschiedenis en de geschiedenis van watermerken. Het archief geeft inzicht in de totstandkoming van de uitgaven hieruit.
