Uitgeverij Van Breda was een familiebedrijf van Aart van Breda (1913-1972) en zijn vrouw Catharina van Breda-de Vries (1912-1992), gespecialiseerd in kinderboeken. De boeken werden voornamelijk uit het Engels vertaald, maar Aart van Breda schreef en illustreerde zelf ook kinderboeken. Catharina van Breda deed vooral de zakelijke kant van het bedrijf. Het archief bestaat uit financiële administratie, fondsboeken, correspondentie, personalia, tekeningen en vouwmodellen.

Van Breda was a family publishing company of Aart van Breda (1913 – 1972) and his wife Catharina van Breda-de Vries (1912 – 1992). Their list consisted mainly of children's books, which they translated (mainly from English), but Aart van Breda also wrote and illustrated children's books himself. Catharina van Breda concerned herself mainly with the business side of the company. The archive consists mainly of financial administration, books of their list, correspondence, personal documents, drawings and folding models.

Rie Reinderhoff (1903-1991) werkte op freelancebasis als illustratrice voor uitgeverijen, van tijdschriften en van het dagblad Trouw. De collectie bevat tekeningen en aquarellen van haar hand en door haar geïllustreerde boeken en brochures.

Jurist, letterkundige en publicist op het gebied van de volksverlichting. Betreft zowel brieven die Robidé van der Aa ontving als redacteur van diverse almanakken en tijdschriften – waaronder de Almanak voor het schone en goede en De Volksbode – en brieven met genealogische gegevens die hij gebruikte voor de publicatie van Oud-Nederland in ... burgen en kasteelen geschetst als brieven van meer persoonlijke aard. Biedt inzicht in het letterkundig en maatschappelijk leven in de eerst helft van de negentiende eeuw en vormt een bron voor genealogisch onderzoek naar de Nederlandse ridderschap.

Robidé was a lawyer, a man of letters and a publisher of material in the field of popular enlightenment. The collection consists of letters which Robidé received from various magazines and almanacs as an editor – among others the Almanak voor het schone en goede, an almanac for all things beautiful and good and De Volksbode, a newspaper – as well as letters with genealogical information which he used for the publication of his book Oud-Nederland in ... burgen en kasteelen geschetst, about fortresses and castles in the Netherlands. Besides this, the collection includes letters that were more personal in nature. The collection gives a good insight into the literary and social life of the first half of the 19th century. It is also a source of information for research into the genealogy of the Dutch chivalry.

Dit archief bevat vooral financiële documenten van de Koninklijke Drukkerij H.A.M. Roelants, daarnaast boeken en wat parafernalia. De items dateren zowel uit de 19e als uit de 20e eeuw maar er is geen zwaartepunt aan te geven. Het biedt inzicht in de ontwikkeling van een Nederlands drukkersbedrijf door de jaren heen.

This archive contains documents concerning the printing house Koninklijke drukkerij H.A.M. Roelants. It consists of (mainly financial) administrative documents, and some books and paraphernalia. The items date from 1861 to the end of the twentieth century. It offers an overview of the development of a Dutch printing company over time.

De collectie Atie Siegenbeek van Heukelom bestaat uit door haar verzamelde prentenboeken, boeken en brochures. Atie Siegenbeek van Heukelom (1913-2002) was grafisch vormgeefster. Ze werkte op freelance-basis voor uitgeverijen, verzorgde de lay-out van boeken en illustreerde dichtbundels en school- en kinderboeken. Zij verzamelde kinderboeken die voor haar een inspiratiebron vormden.

The collection brought together by graphic designer Atie Siegenbeek van Heukelom (1913-2002) consists of books of prints, books and brochures. Siegenbeek van Heukelom freelanced for publishing houses, designing the layout for books and illustrating volumes of poetry, school books and children’s books. She collected the children’s books that were a source of inspiration to her.

Boekbanden verzameld door de uitgever Albert S.A. Struik (1926-2006). De collectie bevat ruim 7000 Nederlandse industriële boekbanden uit de periode 1837-1940, waaronder circa 1000 kinderboeken. Zij vormt een belangrijk onderdeel van een unieke collectie machinaal vervaardigde boekbanden die onderzoek mogelijk maakt naar de productie en vormgeving van de boekband in de negentiende en de eerste helft van de twintigste eeuw in Nederland.

This collection of industrial bookbindings brought together by publisher Albert S.A. Struik (1926-2006) contains over 7,000 Dutch industrial bookbindings from the years 1837-1940, including some 1,000 children’s books. It is a substantial part of a unique collection of machine-made bookbindings, which facilitates research into the production and design of bookbindings in the Netherlands in the second half of the 19th and first half of the twentieth century.
