De collectie Armeense boeken bevat circa 135 banden, afkomstig van de, in het begin van de negentiende eeuw opgeheven, Armeense geloofsgemeenschap. De collectie bevat veel boeken die te Amsterdam zijn gedrukt, maar ook boeken uit Armenië zelf en boeken die elders zijn uitgegeven door de wijd verspreide Armeense gemeenschappen. De collectie geeft een goed beeld van de Armeense typografie en van de invloed die de Amsterdamse uitgaven internationaal hebben gehad in de zeventiende en achttiende eeuw.

The collection of Armenian books consists of approximately 135 publications, originating from the Armenian religious community which was discontinued at the beginning of the nineteenth century. The collection contains a lot of books which were printed in Amsterdam, but also books from Armenia itself and books which were published in other wide spread Armenian communities. The collection offers a good impression of Armenian typography and of the influence the publications from Amsterdam had internationally in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

Collectie voornamelijk achttiende- en negentiende-eeuwse Engelse boekkunst bijeengebracht door de grafisch ontwerper Fons van der Linden met werk van John Baskerville, William Bulmer, Thomas Bensley, William Pickering en Charles Whittingham en Robert and Andrew Foulis. Daarnaast is er werk van vooraanstaande Italiaanse, Franse en Duitse drukkers uit dezelfde periode waaronder Didot en Bodoni.

A collection of book art mainly from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, brought together by the graphic designer Fons van der Linden. It includes work by John Baskerville, William Bulmer, Thomas Bensley, William Pickering and Charles Whittingham and Robert and Andrew Foulis. In addition the collection features work by prominent Italian, French and German printers from the same period, such as Didot and Bodoni.
