Foto's vervaardigd ten behoeve van Folia (Civitatis), het weekblad van de Universiteit van Amsterdam, door verschillende fotografen uit de periode 1958-2003. De fotocollectie is van hoge kwaliteit en geeft een uitstekend beeld van de geschiedenis van de Universiteit van Amsterdam en het studentenleven in de betreffende periode.

Photos produced by several photographers for the newsmagazine Folia (Civitatis) in the period 1958-2003. The photo collection is of good quality and provides an excellent view on professors, university life and the history of the University of Amsterdam in the indicated period.

De collectie bestaat uit foto's van hoogleraren, verbonden aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, van universitaire plechtigheden, van universitair leven, van universitaire gebouwen en van Amsterdamse studentengezelschappen uit de periode 1860-heden.

The collection consists of photographs of professors of the University of Amsterdam, of university life, of ceremonies and of buildings of the university. Besides this, there are photographs of fellowships of students. The entire collection dates from 1860 to this day.

De collectie bestaat uit spotprenten en karikaturen betreffende de Universiteit van Amsterdam, het studentenleven en het hoger onderwijs van de hand van onder anderen Johan Braakensiek, M.B.E. Nilant, Tom Jansen en Willy Lohman, voornamelijk uit de periode 1880-1985.

The collection consists of cartoons and caricatures related to the University of Amsterdam, to university life and to Dutch higher education in general. They are mainly from the period 1880-1985 and were made by, among others, Johan Braakensiek, M.B.E. Nilant, Tom Jansen and Willy Lohman.
