Het archief van de firma Martinus Nijhoff bevat bedrijfsarchivalia van de boekhandel en de uitgeverij; behalve antiquariaatscatalogi is vrijwel geen materiaal bewaard gebleven van het antiquariaat en het veilinghuis. Er zijn veel dossiers met correspondentie over uitgaven. Tot halverwege de jaren 1960 is de leiding in handen gebleven van telgen uit de familie Nijhoff. Ook zijn hier persoonlijke archieven van Martinus Nijhoff, Wouter Nijhoff en Wouter Nijhoff Pz. aanwezig.

The archive of the firm of Martinus Nijhoff comprises the company archives of its rare book shop and publishing house; apart from antiquarian book catalogues, virtually no documents have been preserved of the antiquarian book shop and the auction house. There are numerous files with correspondence on publications. The company remained in the family until the mid-1960s; the collection also contains the personal archives of Martinus Nijhoff, Wouter Nijhoff and Wouter Nijhoff Pz..

Mea Nijland-Verwey (1892-1978) was dichter, letterkundige en uitgeefster. Het archief bestaat uit persoonlijke stukken en manuscripten van haar eigen werk, stukken betreffende het beheer van de literaire nalatenschap van haar vader Albert Verwey en de administratie van uitgeverij C.A. Mees, met redactiedossiers en uitgeverscorrespondentie.

Mea Nijland-Verwey (1892-1978) was a poet, woman of letters and publisher. The archive consists of personal documents and manuscripts of her work, documents relating to the management of the literary estate of her father Albert Verwey and the accounts of C.A. Mees publishers, including editorial files and publisher’s correspondence.

Gerrit Noordzij was een bekend boekverzorger en een invloedrijk kalligraaf, letterontwerper en schrifttheoreticus. Zijn drukletters werden in de handel gebracht door The Enschedé Font Foundry. Daarnaast was Noordzij van belang als docent aan de Haagse Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten. Tot zijn studenten daar behoorden onder meer Frank Blokland, Erik van Blokland, Just van Rossum, Peter Verheul en zijn zonen Christoph en Peter Matthias Noordzij. De door Gerrit Noordzij ontworpen boekomslagen zijn doorgaans in belettering van zijn hand uitgevoerd en geven zo een goede indruk van zijn ontwikkeling op dit gebied. Behalve boekomslagen maken door hem verzorgde boeken, enkele ontwerpen, een geschreven oorkonde en agenda's deel uit van deze collectie.

Gerrit Noordzij was a well-known Dutch book designer and an influential calligrapher and typographer. Internationally, he was one of the leading theorists on writing and type. He designed many books, in particular book jackets, and several typefaces which were released by The Enschedé Font Foundry. Noordzij was also important as a teacher at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. Many of his former students became well-known type designers, among them Frank Blokland, Erik van Blokland, Just van Rossum, Peter Verheul and his sons Christoph and Peter Matthias Noordzij. The book jackets designed by Noordzij are generally produced with lettering also designed by him. As such, they give a good impression of his development. In addition to book jackets, the collection contains a number of designs, a certificate of appreciation and his diaries.

Het Nutsseminarium voor Pedagogiek werd in 1919 opgericht door de Maatschappij tot Nut van 't Algemeen om wetenschappelijk onderzoek te doen naar het lager en middelbaar onderwijs in Nederland. Een andere doelstelling was leraren op te leiden voor het middelbaar onderwijs. De bibliotheek van het Nutsseminarium werd gevormd tussen 1919 en 1926. In 1926 werd de collectie – zo'n 3000 boeken en een beperkt aantal tijdschriften – overgebracht naar de Universiteitsbibliotheek. Er is literatuur te vinden over opvoedkunde, schoolwezen en de geschiedenis ervan, schoolorganisatie en vooral didactiek en psychologie. De boeken zijn merendeels van na 1910 en zijn voornamelijk gericht op het lager onderwijs. Ook vreemdtalige publicaties zijn goed vertegenwoordigd.

The 'Nutsseminarium voor Pedagogiek', an institution for academic research into primary and secondary education in the Netherlands, was founded in 1919. The institution also aimed to train teachers for secondary education. The library of the institution was formed between 1919 and 1926 and consists of approximately 3000 books and several journals. In 1926 the collection was moved to the University Library. The library covers pedagogy and the educational system and its history and organization, in particular didactics and psychology. Most books focus on primary education. A fair number of publications is in a foreign language.

Salomon Izak Zwartz (1879-1965), de in Oldenzaal geboren fabrikant van jute, was sinds 1904 actief binnen de joodse gemeenschap van Oldenzaal. Hij was secretaris, bestuurslid en voorzitter van diverse verenigingen en zamelde geld in voor de Pekidim en Amarkalim van het Heilige Land. In 1916 werd Salomon benoemd tot lid en in 1937 tot voorzitter van de kerkenraad van de Nederlands-Israëlitische gemeente Oldenzaal. Het voorzitterschap vervulde hij tot de opheffing van de gemeente in 1948. De hier beschreven archieven van de joodse gemeenschap van Oldenzaal zijn door toedoen van Zwartz in de Bibliotheca Rosenthaliana opgenomen. De joodse gemeente van Oldenzaal, die halverwege de achttiende eeuw ontstond, was een van de grootste joodse gemeentes in Twente en vervulde zelfs enige tijd een regiofunctie. In het begin van de 20e eeuw telde de gemeente bijna 250 personen; na de Tweede Wereldoorlog nog geen tien personen. Het archief van de joodse gemeente van Oldenzaal bevat onder andere notulen van de kerkenraad, ingekomen en uitgaande stukken met betrekking tot het kerkbestuur, reglementen, kiezers- en presentielijsten en financiële stukken. De archieven van de joodse verenigingen bevatten hoofdzakelijk notulen, correspondentie, reglementen, presentielijsten van vergaderingen en financiële stukken. Ook persoonlijke documenten van de familie Zwartz en van Isaak Krukziener maken deel uit van deze collectie.

Salomon Izak Zwartz (1879-1965), a jute manufacturer born in Oldenzaal, was an active member of the Jewish congregation in Oldenzaal since 1904. He was secretary, board member and chairman of various associations, and he collected money for the Pekidim and Amarkalim of the Holy Land. In 1916, Salomon was appointed a member, and in 1937 chairman, of the church council of the Dutch Israelite Congregation of Oldenzaal. He held the chairmanship until the congregation was dissolved in 1948. It is because of Zwartz that the archives of the Jewish congregation (as described here) have been added to the collection of the Bibliotheca Rosenthaliana. The Jewish congregation of Oldenzaal, which developed in the mid-eighteenth century, was one of the largest Jewish congregations in Twente. It even played a regional role for a time. In the early twentieth century, the congregation numbered almost 250 people; after the Second World War, fewer than ten. The archive of the Oldenzaal Jewish congregation includes church council minutes, incoming and outgoing papers relating to the council, regulations, voter and attendance lists, and financial papers. The archives of the Jewish associations consist largely of minutes, correspondence, regulations, attendance lists for meetings and financial papers. The collection also includes personal documents of the Zwartz family and of Isaak Krukziener.

Olidin was een stripblad uitgegeven door oliemaatschappij Shell (Shell Junior Club) en vormgegeven door reclamebureau Van Maanen in Den Haag. Het bevatte behalve werk van Nederlandse en buitenlandse stripmakers ook verhalen, puzzels en advertenties. In de collectie bevinden zich originele tekeningen en drukproeven van de stripverhalen.

Olidin was a comics magazine published by oil company Shell (Shell Junior Club) and designed by the advertising agency Van Maanen in The Hague. Besides work by Dutch and foreign comics' writers, it also contained stories, puzzles and advertisements. The collection contains the original drawings and galley proofs of the comics.

Van 1951 tot 1967 vonden op kasteel het Oude Loo en in Hotel Figit in Zeist gemiddeld tweemaal per jaar spirituele en religieus-levensbeschouwelijke ontmoetingen plaats op initiatief van koningin Juliana en enkele van haar vrienden. De stukken in dit archief zijn door verscheidene archiefvormers opgemaakt gedurende de uitvoering van hun taken als leden van het Comité der Voorbereiding. Het bevat onder andere verslagen van de gehouden ontmoetingen en stukken betreffende de organisatie. De archiefvormers zijn J.W. Kaiser (1897-1960), W.J. van Heeckeren van Molecaten (1914-2001) en F.C. Mijnssen (1903-1979). In 2016 is het archief overgedragen aan de Universiteitsbibliotheek door historicus Han van Bree en Hans van Loon (Stichting Open Veldwerk).

From 1951 to 1967, spiritual and religious meetings were held at the Oude Loo castle and at Hotel Figi in Zeist. Initiated by Queen Juliana and a number of her friends, these meetings were held twice a year on average. This archive contains, among others, incoming and copies of outgoing documents, photographs, transcriptions, invitations, brochures, financial administration and paper clippings regarding these meetings. The provenance of the documents lies with J.W. Kaiser (1897-1960), W.J. van Heeckeren van Molecaten (1914-2001) and F.C. Mijnssen (1903-1979), together with one or more unknown sources. In 2016, the archive was transferred to the University library by historian Han van Bree and Hans van Loon (Stichting Open Veldwerk).

A.C. Oudemans was behalve leraar biologie een veelzijdige geleerde. Zijn natuurhistorische studies over de dodo en de zeeslang verwierven grote bekendheid. Verder was hij een bekend en veelvuldig voor determinatie en systematiek geraadpleegde acaroloog (mijtendeskundige).

De collectie A.C. Oudemans bestaat uit twee onderdelen. De dodo-studiën bevatten handschriften ter voorbereiding van zijn boek over dit onderwerp. Tevens is er correspondentie en zijn er vele foto's van dodo-illustraties. Er zijn geen originele tekeningen aanwezig. Het tweede collectieonderdeel bevat correspondentie met 75 instanties en personen, voornamelijk over determinatie en uitwisseling van Acari (mijten).

In addition to being a biology teacher, A.C. Oudemans was a versatile scholar. He acquired a name for himself with his natural-history studies on the dodo and the sea snake. He was also a renowned acarologist (an expert on mites), whose expertise was often called upon when it came to identification and systematics.

The A.C. Oudemans collection is divided into two parts. The dodo studies contain preliminary manuscripts for his book on the subject. This part also includes correspondence and numerous photographs of illustrations of dodos; there are no original drawings. The second part of the collection contains correspondence with 75 institutions and scientists, mainly on identification and exchange of specimens of Acari (mites).

Het archief van de grafisch ontwerper Bas Oudt (1956-2014) werd in 2009 door hemzelf geschonken aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Na zijn overlijden in 2014 volgde een aanvulling. Het archief bevat drie meter aan materiaal: grafische eindproducten als boeken, brochures, catalogi, huisstijlen, affiches naast enkele schetsen en werktekeningen. Ook is er materiaal uit de tijd dat Oudt verbonden was als student en docent aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.

The archive of graphic designer Bas Oudt (1956-2014) was donated to the University of Amsterdam by Oudt himself in 2009. More material was added following his death in 2014. The archive stretches to three metres of material, including graphic end products such as books, brochures, catalogues, house styles, posters, as well as a number of sketches and work drawings. There is also material from the time Oudt had been associated with the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam as a student and a lecturer.

Het Overleg van de Nederlandstalige Uitgeverij en Boekhandel (ONUB) zet zich als onderdeel van de Nederlandse Taalunie in voor de belangen van de Nederlandstalige uitgeverijen en boekhandel in Nederland en Vlaanderen. Het archief (1986-2001) geeft inzicht in zijn functioneren.

As part of the Nederlandse Taalunie (Dutch Language Union), the Overleg van de Nederlandstalige Uitgeverij en Boekhandel (ONUB) is dedicated to promoting the interests of Dutch-language publishers and book dealers in the Netherlands and in Flanders. The archive (1986-2001) throws light on its achievements.

Ootje Oxenaar (1929-2017) was een Nederlandse kunstenaar en grafisch ontwerper die vooral bekend is geworden met de ontwerpen van zijn bankbiljetten voor De Nederlandsche Bank. Zijn archief bestaat uit bewijsexemplaren van zijn werk, soms met de bijbehorende ontwerpen en correspondentie, administratieve stukken, publicaties en foto’s, en een kleine hoeveelheid verzameld materiaal.

Ootje Oxenaar (1929-2017) was a Dutch artist and graphic designer who is best known for his designs of bank notes for De Nederlandsche Bank. His archive incorporates copies of his work, sometimes together with the accompanying designs and correspondence, administrative documents, publications and photographs, as well as some miscellaneous material.

De oprichting van de Paedagogische Bibliotheek was een inititatief van het Nederlandsch Onderwijzers-Genootschap (NOG), de eerste vakbond voor hoofdonderwijzers. In het streven van het NOG het onderwijs te verbeteren paste een goed voorziene bibliotheek. Begonnen in 1867 kwam de collectie in 1882 als bruikleen naar de Universiteitsbibliotheek. De collectie werd tot 1971 voortdurend uitgebreid en telde in dat jaar 19.000 banden en 300 tijdschriftabonnementen. Bijna de helft bestaat uit schoolboeken voor lager en middelbaar onderwijs; alle vakken zijn vertegenwoordigd. Voor het overige vindt men literatuur over alle aspecten van onderwijs en opvoeding, ook buitenlandse.

The Paedagogische Bibliotheek (Education Library) is initiated by the Nederlandsch Onderwijzers-Genootschap (Dutch Society for Teachers) in 1867. According to the vision of this society a well provided library is essential for educational innovation. In 1882 the University Library got the loan of this collection. Until 1971 the collection was continuously extended and by then it consisted of 19,000 books and 300 journal-subscriptions. Textbooks for primary and secundary education form one half of the collection, the other half is literature on all aspects of education, also in foreign languages.

De nalatenschap van de Amsterdamse koopman en verzamelaar Gerardus van Papenbroeck bevat een belangrijk deel van zijn handschriftencollectie (bestaande uit ongeveer zevenhonderd manuscripten en brieven van Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft), het grootste deel van zijn portrettencollectie (49 portretten van geleerde en beroemde mannen) en een schilderij van de ruïnes van Palmyra. De collectie is onderdeel van een van de weinige humanistische verzamelingen die in hun geheel in Nederland behouden zijn gebleven.

This collection consists of nearly 700 manuscripts and letters by the 17th century Dutch writer and historian Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft, originating from the legacy of the Amsterdam trader and collector Gerardus van Papenbroeck (1673-1743). The collection also contains 49 of Van Papenbroeck's portraits of scholars and famous men and a large painting of the ruins of Palmyra, which shows his interest in antiquity. The collection of Van Papenbroeck is one of the few humanistic collections in the Netherlands which are still complete.

The Paper Publications Society (1950-1995) werd opgericht door E.J. Labarre met als uitgangspunt het publiceren van de reeks Monumenta chartae papyraceae historiam illustrantia, een serie werken over papiergeschiedenis en de geschiedenis van watermerken. Het archief geeft inzicht in de totstandkoming van de uitgaven hieruit.

The Paper Publications Society (1950-1995) was founded by E.J. Labarre with the purpose of publishing Monumenta chartae papyraceae historiam illustrantia, a series of works on the history of paper and watermarks. The archive provides insight into the production of the ensuing publications.

In de collectie zijn de verzamelingen van de Bibliotheek van het boekenvak, van de Typografische Bibliotheek en van Erik Cox verenigd.

The paper specimens collection consists of sets of paper specimen books by various manufacturers and paper dealers, mainly from the Netherlands and largely dating from the twentieth century. The collection also contains price lists and advertising materials. The collection unites the holdings of the Bibliotheek van het Boekenvak (Library of the Book Trade), the Typografische Bibliotheek (the Tetterode collection) and Erik Cox.

C.P.J. van der Peet richtte eind jaren veertig in Indonesië en Amsterdam boekhandels en uitgeverijen op. Hij richtte zich in Indonesië op boeken voor het onderwijs en in Nederland op kinderboeken, dichtbundels en non-fictie. Vanaf 1956 was hij alleen nog in Nederland actief en startte hij ook een antiquariaat. Vanaf 1967 beperkte hij zijn activiteiten tot het antiquariaat. Het archief bevat veel productiedossiers van uit te geven publicaties, met werk van bekende schrijvers en illustratoren uit de periode 1949-1967, en is daarmee van belang voor het literair-historisch onderzoek naar die periode. Daarnaast bevat het archief een waardevolle selectie met de hand bijgeschreven antiquariaatscatalogi.

In the late 1940s, C.P.J. van der Peet established bookshops and publishing houses in Indonesia and in Amsterdam. In Indonesia he focused on books for the education market and in the Netherlands on children’s books, poetry volumes and non-fiction. From 1956 he was only active in the Netherlands, where he also began an antiquarian book business. From 1967 he devoted his attention exclusively to his rare bookshop. The archive contains a great number of production files of books that were scheduled to be published, including works by well-known authors and illustrators from the years 1949-1967, making it an important source for literary-historical research into the period. In addition the archive contains a valuable selection of annotated antiquarian catalogues.

De Pekidim en Amarkalim ('officiers en schatbewaarders') vormden een internationale organisatie die tot doel had de fondsenwerving ter ondersteuning van armlastige joden in Palestina te coördineren. De organisatie onderhield nauwe contacten met de leiders van de joodse gemeenschappen in de steden Jeruzalem, Hebron, Safed en Tiberias. Het archief, dat de ingekomen brieven bevat, is een zeer belangrijke bron voor de vroegste geschiedenis van de joodse vestiging in Palestina in de moderne tijd.

The Pekidim and Amarkalim ('Supervisors and Administrators') was an international organisation whose aim was to coordinate fundraising efforts to support poor Jews in Palestine. The organisation maintained close contacts with the leaders of the Jewish communities in the cities of Jerusalem, Hebron, Safed and Tiberias. The archive, which contains the incoming letters, is a very important information source about the earliest history of Jewish settlements in modern-day Palestine.

De collectie bestaat uit penningen met afbeeldingen van hoogleraren, verbonden aan het Athenaeum Illustre (1632), aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam (1877) of aan een andere instelling van hoger onderwijs in Amsterdam, uit gelegenheidspenningen van diverse universiteiten en uit prijspenningen voor hoogleraren en toegangspenningen voor de Hortus Medicus.

The collection consists of medals of professors of the University of Amsterdam (1877), of its predecessor the Athenaeum Illustre (1632) and of professors of other educational institutes in Amsterdam. Besides this, there are anniversary and other commemorative medals of various universities, awards for professors in the form of medals and entrance tokens to the Hortus Botanicus.

Het Allard Pierson Museum heeft een verzameling van ongeveer 600 voorwerpen afkomstig uit opgravingen van W.M.F. Petrie. De collectie bestaat uit objecten die er altijd al waren na de overdracht vanuit het Museum Scheurleer in 1934, objecten die afkomstig zijn uit het voormalig Archeologisch Instituut van de Universiteit Utrecht (toen de egyptoloog Von Bissing daar hoogleraar was tot 1926) en objecten die na opheffing van het Museum Scheurleer naar het Gemeentemuseum in Den Haag zijn gegaan, en later aan het Allard Pierson Museum overgedragen.

The Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam holds a collection of about 600 objects acquired from W.M.F. Petrie's excavations. It consists of objects that were transferred from the private Museum Scheurleer in The Hague, which was closed down in 1934; objects from the former Archaeological Institute of the University of Utrecht (where the Egyptologist Von Bissing was professor until 1926); and objects that were originally sent to the Municipal Museum in The Hague, and were later transferred to the Allard Pierson Museum.

Bibliotheek van de Pharmaceutische Studenten-Vereeniging Luctor et Emergo, in 1902 overgenomen en vervolgens uitgebreid door de Koninklijke Nederlandse Maatschappij ter bevordering der Pharmacie (KNMP). De bibliotheek bevat boeken, tijdschriften en enkele handschriften betreffende de farmacie en aanverwante vakken, voornamelijk uit de negentiende eeuw.

The 'Algemeene Pharmaceutische Bibliotheek' – the general pharmaceutical library - was formed by the student union 'Luctor at Emergo'. In 1902 it was taken over and extended by the KNMP, the Royal Dutch Society for the Promotion of Pharmacy. The library contains books, periodicals and several manuscripts about pharmacy and related fields. The collection dates mainly from the 19th century.

De (internationale) Philhelleensche Vereeniging werd in 1888 te Amsterdam opgericht met het doel de studie en verbreiding van de Griekse taal en literatuur. Daartoe werd een bibliotheek ingericht. De collectie bestaat uit algemene, historische, taalkundige en literaire werken in het Nieuwgrieks en uit taalkundige werken in andere talen over het klassieke en het moderne Grieks en uit geschiedkundige publicaties over Griekenland en de Griekse literatuur.

The (international) 'Philhelleensche Vereeniging' was established in 1888 in Amsterdam with the aim to study and propagate Greek language and literature. For that reason a library was set up. The collection consists of general, historical, linguistic and literary publications in modern Greek and linguistic works in other languages about classical and modern Greek. Besides this, there are historical publications about Greece and Greek literature.

De collectie heeft betrekking op de predikant en kunsthistoricus Allard Pierson (1831-1896), zijn vrouw Pauline Gildemeester (1831-1900), hun dochter Lina Eudia Pierson (1859-1951) en Piersons vriend en collega Samuel Naber (1828-1913). In de collectie bevinden zich manuscripten van preken en colleges van Pierson en voorts correspondentie, met name van Pierson aan zijn vrouw. Pierson was in 1854 met Pauline Gildemeester getrouwd.

The collection concerns the reverend and art historian Allard Pierson (1831-1896), his wife Pauline Gildemeester (1831-1900), their daughter Lina Eudia Pierson (1859-1951) and Pierson's friend and colleague Samuel Naber (1828-1913). The collection contains the manuscripts of the sermons and lectures held by Pierson and correspondence, in particular of Pierson to his wife. Pierson married Pauline Gildemeester in 1854.

Jan Lodewijk Gregory Pierson (1806-1873) was koopman te Amsterdam; zijn vrouw Ida Pierson-Oyens (1808-1860) was actief in het filantropische zendingswerk en schreef boeken, met name voor kinderen. Naast manuscripten van Ida Pierson-Oyens bevat de collectie vele, voornamelijk door familieleden geschreven brieven.

Jan Lodewijk Gregory Pierson (1806-1873) was a merchant in Amsterdam; his wife Ida Pierson-Oyens (1808-1860) was engaged in Christian charity and wrote books, especially children's books. Besides manuscripts of Ida Pierson-Oyens, the collection contains many letters, primarily written by members of the family.

N.G. Pierson was een van Nederlands belangrijkste economen. Hij was hoogleraar in de staathuishoudkunde aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam (1877-1885), president van De Nederlandsche Bank (1884-1891) en minister van Financiën (1891-1894, 1897-1901). De collectie bestaat uit een bibliotheek, dictaten van zijn colleges en enkele andere aan zijn functie van hoogleraar gerelateerde documenten en objecten.

N.G. Pierson was one of the most important economists of the Netherlands. He was the professor of economics at the Universiteit van Amsterdam (1877-1885), president of the national bank, the Nederlandsche Bank, (1884-1891) and minister of finance (1891-1894, 1897-1901). The collection consists of his library, lecture notes and several objects and documents related to his function as a professor.

De bankier Jan Lodewijk Pierson (1854-1944) wijdde zich aan het maken van literaire vertalingen en het schrijven van historische studies. Zijn collectie bestaat in hoofdzaak uit brieven ontvangen door hem en zijn echtgenote Henriëtte Wilhelmina Johanna van Goudoever (1859-1943).

Jan Lodewijk Pierson (1854-1944), a banker, devoted himself to making literary translations and writing historical studies. The collection mainly consists of letters received by him and his wife Henriëtte Wilhelmina Johanna van Goudoever (1859-1943).

Het archief bevat zakelijke en persoonlijke stukken van Meijer Pinkhof (1892-1943), van 1921 tot 1940 werkzaam als assistent en privaatdocent aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Hij kwam om in vernietigingskamp Sobibor.

The archive contains professional and personal items of Meijer Pinkhof (1892-1943), who worked as assistant and Privatdozent at the University of Amsterdam from 1921 until 1940. He was murdered at Sobibor extermination camp.

De Amsterdamse Roosje (Roza) Pinkhof (1922- ) werd tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog net als bijna al haar familieleden naar een concentratiekamp gedeporteerd. Daar verzorgde zij haar zestien jaar jongere halfzusje, Helene. Na de bevrijding van het concentratiekamp was zij zo ziek dat zij in een militair ziekenhuis moest worden opgenomen en vervolgens naar een noodziekenhuis in Eindhoven werd overgeplaatst. Het archief bestaat voornamelijk uit brieven die tijdens haar revalidatie tussen juni 1945 en juli 1946 aan Roosje Pinkhof geschreven zijn. Deze brieven zijn afkomstig van familie en vrienden en gaan over het leven na de verschrikkingen van de concentratiekampen en de opbouw van een nieuw leven in Palestina. Ook is er een schetsboek met potloodtekeningen in het archief overgeleverd.

Like most members of her family, Roosje (Roza) Pinkhof (1922- ) of Amsterdam was deported to a concentration camp during the Second World War. In the camp, she looked after her half-sister Helene, who was sixteen years younger. When the camp was liberated, Roosje was so ill that she had to be admitted to a military hospital and then transferred to an emergency hospital in Eindhoven. The archive is chiefly made up of letters written to Roosje Pinkhof during her convalescence from June 1945 to July 1946. The letters are from family and friends concerning life after the horrors of the concentration camps and building up a new life in Palestine. The archive also contains a sketchbook with pencil drawings.
