Het Amsterdamsch Boekverkoopers Collegie was een samenwerkingsverband van (veelal) vooraanstaande boekverkopers. Het doel van het collegie was drieledig: de gemeenschappelijke inkoop van antiquarische werken, de gezamenlijke handel in papier en antiquarische boeken, en de onderlinge distributie van nieuwe uitgaven. Het ledental schommelde rond de dertig. Het archief bevat reglementen, notulen, ledenlijsten, circulaires, financiële administratie en gelegenheidsgedichten, en maakt zo onderzoek mogelijk naar de handelspraktijken in de boekhandel in de achttiende en negentiende eeuw.

The 'Amsterdamsch Boekverkoopers Collegie', an association of Amsterdam's booksellers, was a cooperative organization of – mostly leading – booksellers. Its three main objectives were the joint buying of antiquarian works, the joint purchase of paper and antiquarian books, and the distribution of new editions among themselves. The number of members fluctuated at around thirty. The archive contains rules and regulations, minutes, membership lists, circulars, finances and occasional poems. The archive is a good source for the research of book trade in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
